Photos from the B2B exhibition in Manchester

Over 4,000 people flocked to the B2B exhibition at Manchester’s G-Mex on 22nd-23rd November, from owners of small businesses to company directors and managers looking for inspiration and ideas for growing and supporting their plans. Bob Geldof and other speakers drew in the crowds to attend seminars and networking sessions but most stayed on to walk around the exhibitors stands.
First Impression was delighted with the response to its targeted marketing game – a wheel of fortune – where business owners were challenged to hit a spinning wheel with Velcro balls (it’s the 21st century after all, and bows and arrows do not comply with health and safety forms!) to hit their main business issue that they would like to resolve. All participants received a bag of chocolate money with the message that marketing is a constantly moving target and to get it right can affect the bottom line. The game opened up some good discussions for First Impression. Helen Duncan said, “we were able to have some good conversations on the stand through the game, how people can target their customers in the right way with the right messages. Marketing can often be seen as a money pit but with a little help, targeted marketing can have a dramatic effect on businesses revenue. Email marketing for example, is a fantastic, cost effective way of communicating with your customers and the game helped us get that message across to visitors to the B2B. Our purple robin hood also helped us grab some of the attention!”
